Early Learning Centres

Pre-Kindy & Kindy

Where the love of learning begins
The earliest years of a child's life are among the most extraordinary. They are years of firsts, of wonder, of a mind opening to the world one discovery at a time. At the TAS Early Learning Centre, we take that privilege seriously. Our centres at Kewarra Beach and White Rock are places designed for little people to feel safe, seen and free to explore.

Both centres have been rated Exceeding National Quality Standards under the National Quality Framework, one of the highest ratings an early childhood service can achieve in Australia. It is a reflection of the quality, care and commitment our educators bring to every single day.

Both centres are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, for 50 weeks of the year. Full-time places only. Queensland Government Free Kindy funding of 15 hours per week is available for eligible Kindergarten children.

Our educators

An extension of your family
Our educators are passionate, qualified professionals who view their role as far more than teaching. They observe, listen and respond to each child's individual interests, designing experiences that extend learning and nurture confidence. They hold current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, and they approach every child with the same care they would want for their own.

In Pre-Kindy, educators work closely alongside families, offering a gentle, supported transition from home to centre. In Kindergarten, qualified teachers lead a curriculum-integrated program that balances structure with the spontaneity that early childhood deserves.

Bush Kindy

Learning that gets a little muddy.
Bush Kindy is one of the most distinctive and beloved parts of the TAS Early Learning experience. Offered at both campuses, it is a nature-based program that takes children beyond the classroom and into the world around them, building confidence, resilience and a genuine sense of wonder along the way. Children take appropriate risks, make decisions, explore with their hands and learn to care for the environment and each other. The research is clear: regular time spent in nature supports physical health, emotional wellbeing, creativity and social development. At TAS, we have built it into the rhythm of the week because we believe some of the most important learning happens when children are free to get a little muddy.
The transition to Prep, gentle and gradual.
One of the most significant moments in a child's early years is the step from Kindergarten into Prep. At TAS, we do not leave that to chance. Our Prep Readiness Program is unique to TAS and designed to make that transition as smooth, confident and positive as possible. By the time a TAS Kindergarten student steps into Prep on their first day, the classroom, the teachers and the rhythms of the day are already known to them. That familiarity makes all the difference.
Your TAS journey starts here.
