International Enrolments
A world-class education in one of the world's most beautiful places.
At TAS, we believe that an education enriched by international perspectives is a richer education for everyone. Each year we welcome students from around the world, whether for a two-hour school visit, a short stay program or a full student visa enrolment. Whatever brings an international student to TAS, they leave with improved English skills, lasting friendships and an experience of Australian school life that is genuinely hard to forget.
TAS provides a friendly, welcoming and consistent support network for international students through our admissions team, international student officer and pastoral care team. We understand the rewards and the challenges of living and studying overseas, and we work hard to make every student feel at home from day one.

Study tours and school visits
TAS welcomes visiting student groups for immersive, integrated school experiences ranging from two-hour visits to one or two-day study tours. We have a particularly warm connection with Japanese schools, reflecting the prominent role Japanese language and cultural studies play in our curriculum and our own students' regular visits to Japan.
Japanese School Group Study Tours: Designed for groups of 15 to 30 students aged 12 to 17. One to two days of integrated classroom and outdoor experiences alongside TAS students. Lunch included upon request.
Two-Hour School Visit: Open to visiting schools and tour groups from any country. Includes a guided campus tour, opportunities to practise English and learn about school life in Australia, morning tea and a small gift.
Availability for study tours and school visits is limited. We recommend submitting enquiries at least six months in advance to secure a booking.

Short Stay Program
Our International Short Stay Program offers students aged 13 to 17 the opportunity to immerse themselves in life at TAS for four to ten weeks. Short-stay students attend mainstream classes alongside TAS students, supported by dedicated staff and a student buddy from day one. Intermediate English language skills are required to make the most of this fully integrated experience.
TAS partner agencies can assist with homestay arrangements. Students wear their own school uniform and are supported throughout their stay by our international student officer and pastoral care team.
“Thank you for the great experiences at TAS, I enjoyed it so much. Teachers and students were so kind that they offered me help when I had trouble. I could get used to the school life easily thanks to the kind, helpful and friendly classmates. The most exciting event for me was the Triathlon. Chatting with friends and watching the competition was so much fun, and I also enjoyed the card game after that. I feel like my English skills improved so much.” Kabuto, 2023 Short Stay Student
“My experience at TAS was very fun! Every student is very kind and friendly. I miss them so much and I want to go back to your school. I always felt safe on campus. I went to the zoo, café, beach and a lot of places with my host family and went to the Japanese festival and shopping in Cairns with my friends. My listening skills have improved, and I was able to talk with my friends. My advice to short-stay students is – Don’t be shy! Everyone is very kind and friendly. I hope your short stay will be a good experience” Shiori, 2024 Short Stay Student
For students interested in studying during July and August, please submit your application by 30 April.

TAS Student Visa Program
The TAS Student Visa Program welcomes fully enrolled international students on a Student Visa for a minimum of one academic year. Available from Prep through to Year 12, the program provides a genuine Australian education within a school that is consistently ranked among Queensland's best. TAS requires evidence that each applicant's academic ability and English proficiency allow them to successfully meet the curriculum demands of their intended course. Students are supported to develop their English, meet the academic requirements of their year level and, where applicable, achieve a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and ATAR.
Primary School Studies - Prep to Year 6 (CRICOS Course No 085320C). Available at both White Rock and Kewarra Beach campuses. Core curriculum plus specialist teachers in Art, Music, Drama, Japanese and HPE.
Junior Secondary Studies - Year 7 to Year 10 (CRICOS Course No 085321B). Available at our White Rock Campus. Students join a homeroom group and study English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Arts, Languages and Technologies.
Senior Secondary Studies - Year 11 to Year 12 ((CRICOS Course No 085322A). Available at our White Rock Campus. Students choose subjects suited to their abilities and future goals, all students study to attain a QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education) and for those wanting to attend a university, an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) is required.
Please note: International students at TAS must live with a parent or a guardian approved by the Department of Home Affairs. TAS does not operate a homestay program and do not support students living in external homestay arrangements; therefore, we do not approve welfare arrangements or issue a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation & Welfare (CAAW). Student attendance and academic progress is a student visa requirement and is closely monitored during a student course duration.

TAS Student Visa Program Enrolment Process
STEP 1. REVIEW AND PREPARE
The TAS Student Visa (Subclass 500) is subject to compliance with ESOS 2000 and The National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018. Before submitting an application, please read our entry requirements policy and consider carefully who you will live with (guardian) and where you will stay (accommodation).
STEP 2. APPLY
Submit an online international student application. Before you start the application, please ensure that you have the required documentation ready (for the list of required documentation, please see the student resources below). Note: A non-refundable AU$150 Application Fee is payable and does not guarantee enrolment or an interview.
STEP 3. INTERVIEW
Once we have received your application, we may arrange a formal interview with either the Principal, Deputy Principal, or Head of Campus. For those located overseas, an online interview will apply.
STEP 4. LETTER OF OFFER
Successful applicants will receive an offer of place and a written agreement. You will be required to sign and return your acceptance of this offer and pay a Confirmation Fee of $850 and school fees in advance.
STEP 5. CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT
Once the written agreement is signed and required fees are paid, the school will generate the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). You will need a CoE as part of your Student Visa Application.
STEP 6. OVERSEAS STUDENT HEALTH COVER (OSHC)
Students from overseas are required to maintain adequate health insurance for the duration of their stay. You will need a OSHC Certificate as part of your Student Visa application. TAS can arrange this insurance for you via Medibank Private, or you can arrange your own OSHC and provide the school with a copy prior to commencement.
STEP 7. STUDENT VISA APPLICATION
You will then need to process your Student Visa, notify the school when it is granted and provide a copy of your grant notice and conditions. Applicants must update the school if there are delays in visa processing, as this may impact the course start date.
STEP 8. ARRIVAL
Prior to arrival, students are provided with onboarding information to become familiar with our school and life in Australia. Upon arrival students need to purchase a uniform, stationery and padlock (laptops and textbooks are provided). Staff will support students to settle into life at TAS.
