Sport

Commitment, teamwork and enjoyment at all levels of competition

Bodies that move. Minds that thrive.
At TAS, physical movement is not an extra. It is part of the education. We know that students who move regularly think more clearly, engage more deeply and manage the pressures of school life more effectively. That is why sport and physical activity are woven into every year level, from the weekly swimming program in Primary School to the wide range of clubs, carnivals and representative pathways available throughout Secondary School.

But sport at TAS is about more than fitness. It is about character. How a student handles a loss, supports a teammate, pushes through when it is hard or competes with integrity says as much about who they are as anything that happens in a classroom. At TAS, we take those lessons seriously and we create the conditions where students can learn them, every week of the year.
School spirit in full colour.
Throughout the year, students compete for their house in a series of whole-school carnivals that celebrate participation, school spirit and friendly rivalry. Whether a seasoned competitor or a first-timer, every student has a role to play and a house to represent.

Swimming Carnival: Students compete across age groups in the pool, cheered on by the whole school community.

Triathlon and Aquathon: A test of endurance and determination across multiple disciplines.

Cross Country: Students take on the course with grit and perseverance, a TAS favourite for runners of every level.

Athletics Carnival: Track and field events showcasing speed, strength and skill across the whole school.
